Comic Con 2008

August 15th, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

This year’s Comic-Con was a blast. I’ll be posting pictures from other years and other conventions and fairs in the coming weeks. For now, here’s a taste of San Diego Comic-Con 2008… four and a half days of pure madness.

This is what the booth looks like before a couple of days of setup.

We’re almost there — but where are the books?

Now we’re ready!

The new book by Mark Ryden and Marion Peck — Sweet Wishes

Nice costumes

Wow an Elvis Stormtrooper. It’s almost as impressive as the guy behind him dressed like Gary Baseman.

It’s The Pizz! With his lovely wife Yuki.

His new book, The Dizzy Dictionary, will be out this fall.

Who is this?

Shoppers hard at work

Chris scored this awesome figurine of Biggie.

On the way to the Con…

This was one of our favorite costumes… Super Weiner!

This is what happens when a radioactive spider bites a dog.

Tokyo Zombie made its debut at Comic Con.

Pictured (l to r): Ryan Sands, translator; Colin Turner, assoc publisher; Evan Hayden, designer.

Last Gasp publisher Ron Turner (r) with Thomas Kinkade, the painter of light.

Do we know this guy? You’d better believe it.

Done aaaaand done.
