The Band CRIME
Punk77 Revisited
by James Stark
Rock and Roll was dead and someone had to kick ass to bring it back to life. In the back alleys, bands like Crime with nothing to lose were set upon the world. The Band CRIME, with over 100 photographs, shows what it is like when a group of people try to change the world. Get a look at Crime in the rehearsal studios, small recording studios, alleyways of a large metropolitan city, and on the stages of obscure rock'n'roll clubs.
The Band CRIME is James Stark's second book of Punk Photography. When he and Crime hooked up, they were both fed up with what was being passed off as rock'n'roll, and there were others who felt the same way. Those disgruntled feelings are what became Punk. James now lives in exile on an abandoned farm outside of Sultana in California's Central Valley, obsessed with tomatoes, furniture, and oil paint.
