We take your privacy very seriously
The Last Gasp website uses "cookies," which are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information, but they do enable us to provide a shopping cart. Most of the cookies we set in your browser are not persistent. They are destroyed after you end your browser session. A few persistent cookies are set in your browser to enable Google Analytics and Disqus comments. If you've set your browser to reject cookies, you can still use our site, but will not be able to purchase items.
What information do we collect?
There are very few forms on www.lastgasp.com where personal user information is required. They are:
- The page where you can email a message to Last Gasp.
- The page where you can subscribe to our email newsletter.
- The page where you can subscribe to our print newsletter.
- The checkout page where you submit your billing and shipping addresses, and your credit card information.
- The wholesale checkout page for wholesale account shipping addresses.
- The credit application page for prospective wholesale accounts.
Last Gasp sends your credit card information from our shopping cart software to our payment gateway, Authorize.Net, over a secure server layer connection (SSL). Your credit card information is dumped from our system after we have shipped your order to you.
We also track the URL of the website, if any, from which you accessed www.lastgasp.com. This allows us to monitor how well promotions we have placed on other websites are performing. This piece of information in no way personally identifies you.
How do we use this information?
Your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, and email address are collected on our checkout page. We use this info to process and ship your order.
If you've signed up for our email newsletter, we use your email address when we send out our e-mailings. If you're one of our print newsletter subscribers, we use your street address when we do our monthly mailings. You are welcome to unsubscribe from either mailing. The email newsletters contain instructions for unsubscribing. If you need to remove your name from our print mailing list, just phone us at 800-848-4277.
If you email us through our contact form, we will use your name and email address to reply to your message.
First-time wholesale customers are required to complete a Wholesale Account Application. This form collects information about your business, including bank account information and reference addresses. We use this information to help us determine the legitimacy of wholesale requests.
How secure is my personal information?
Last Gasp protects the personal data we collect against unauthorized access with secure server layer (SSL) encryption.
We do not share your personal information with third parties unless you have consented to the disclosure or the disclosure is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with legal process, (2) protect and defend our rights and property, (3) protect our customers or users from misuse or unauthorized use of the Last Gasp Web site, or (4) protect the personal safety or property of our customers or the public.
